More Than Fashion: The Charitable Initiatives of KSENIASCHNAIDER
14.04.2025
Charitable projects should be highlighted and discussed to engage more people in supporting them. It is inspiring to see artists creating fashion pieces not just for profit but also embedding their philosophy, depth, and ideas into them.
KSENIASCHNAIDER, a brand known for its eco-friendly approach to producing garments from recycled denim, relocated its headquarters to Uzhhorod at the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, where they continued their work.
One of their first fundraising campaigns was organized on the @ks.magazin page, featuring a clothing sale where 100% of the proceeds were donated to various charitable foundations. Additionally, 15% of every order placed on the official website was transferred to the Come Back Alive foundation, which supports Ukrainian military personnel.
However speaking of meaningful clothing collections, one worth mentioning is the capsule collection “Lost Mosaics”. According to the brand, its main idea is:
"a reflection of the present moment, where many Ukrainians and people worldwide are piecing together fragments of their lives against the backdrop of profound challenges, like a mosaic."

The mosaic ornament was inspired by the works of Stepan and Roman Kyrychenko, Liudmyla Yastreb, and other Ukrainian artists. The intricate details of the garments invite close examination from all angles, as they truly resemble wearable art.
In 2024, Ukrainian Fashion Week made its return. It is not just a fashion week that showcases the talents of Ukrainian designers but also a powerful example of how creativity can persist despite the ongoing war. By joining forces with other designers, KSENIASCHNAIDER became part of a large- scale fundraising effort to purchase equipment for the palliative care unit for veterans at the Svyatenko Rehabilitation Clinic.
Interestingly this same year, the brand received the PETA Vegan Awards 2024 – Best Vegan Pants. Their extraordinary furry jeans, also known as “Chewbacca Jeans,” which were first introduced in 2022, are handcrafted from eco-friendly denim. They carry the brand’s signature message about the importance of sustainability and protecting the environment without harming animals.
